Imagine a Food Crisis - Juxtapose Black Friday

It's that time of the year again where we see videos of how people behave to save a few dollars on Black Friday...on things they don't really even need.
Imagine a crisis (maybe a major cyber attack) where food distribution across the country is about to be limited or non existent.
You know that the average kitchen cabinet has only about 72 hours worth of food. You also know that most grocery stores have their deliveries just in time...thus they only stock 3-4 days worth of food themselves. It's not like the old days when shelves were stocked all the way to the back. Now stores stock just what they need for a period of time.
You can see that this cyber attack is going to have a major effect on commerce so you grab what money (it's a cyber attack...don't count on your cards to work and your not going to get anything from the ATM) you have available and run to the store expecting to find the food you need to sustain your family until the crisis is over. Now...imaging how people act on Black Friday. This is for things they don't need to sustain life. What will they do to feed their families during this crisis. What if their children have been hungry for a few days?
I ask....is it really worth the risk? Isn't it worth a few extra dollars to ensure that you don't have to go through this type of scenario? This is what prepping or preparedness is about. Taking a few simple steps to ensure your families safety in a realistic crisis.
Don't be put off by the prepper label....it just might save your life...and the lives of those you love.
