Last night we hosted a great session on Ham Radio basics led by Dave Zugsberger (KL7FO) of the Anderson Radio Club. Dave explained to us the differences in radio types, how radios are used in an emergency situation and how to prepare and test to receive an amateur radio operator license. All great stuff!

If you are preparing for an emergency or crisis and you do not have a ham radio system, even an inexpensive one, you really should consider adding one to your preps. If the grid is down for any reason it might be your only means of communication.

Be sure to check out the Anderson Radio Clubs website at www.andersonradioclub.com. They have several events during the year you may want to check out. They also have a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/andersonradioclub

Also thanks to Jerry Jordan and Margie Spangenberg of the club for also coming out to support Dave.

We will be listening for you.
