Do You Have A Lock-down Plan At Your Organization?

This last week there were a number of situation that required schools and businesses/organizations to lock-down for a period of time. These were small local situations but history shows us that a large scale emergency could happen any time anywhere. A school or business could be put on lock-down for an extended amount of time or a situation could arise that would require you to remain in your building until the all clear is given. Does your organization have the supplies it needs to support a number of people for a period of time?

Having the right plan is important to the safety of your students, workers and visitors. Be sure to consult your local fire and rescue teams to ensure your plan is the right one for your organization. Hold regular meetings with your staff or floor captains to ensure they know the plan and know of any changes in procedure.
